An impressive bridge has been designed to connect the Limassol seafront with the city’s historical center. This feature is part of a large-scale project that aims to revive Agiou Andreou Street, creating a new image for this area.
Close to the juncture of 2 commercial streets in the city, Agiou Andreou Street and Aneksartisias Street, a new project, featuring this particular bridge, will be implemented in the coming years. Escalators will be installed to lead to the 133-meters long bridge from Agiou Andreou Street, which will reach all the way to the seafront, following a curvy route. The floor of the bridge, 7 meters high above the ground, will light up at night, creating a bright path, while the protective glass on each of its side will allow a view to any direction.
The Gallery, the project featuring this bridge, will have, among other, a commercial plaza, with a gallery, restaurants and bars, above which the bridge will pass, so that people walking on it can enjoy a panoramic view. Apart from being an entertainment option (with the first revolving restaurant in Cyprus – check it out here), The Gallery is in fact designed to be a connective link between the city and the seaside.
