Dionysus Mansion Restaurant, situated in a historic building in Limassol, is organising the first sustainable dinner in Cyprus, in its own abundantly green garden.
A sustainable dinner is defined as a meal that focuses on local food and on the shortest route possible from the place of production to the place of consumption.
Sustainability as a term is based on three fundamental axes. Firstly, it is based on the supply of produce with emphasis on local and seasonal products, secondly on environmental parameters such as ecological quality of supplies, waste management, eco-friendly building materials, energy and water saving, and thirdly, on social aspects such as social awareness and acts of charity in local communities, fair attitude towards restaurant staff, healthy eating and a transparent method of operation.
