The Pissouri gulf is located on the southern edge of the old village, approximately 37 kilometers (30 minutes) west of the city of Limassol, and it stretches out for a distance of around 2 kilometers. It is a long coast with colorful pebbles in a variety of sizes and colors, as well as fine sand in certain areas.

The water is suitable both for swimming and water sports. It is a relatively safe coast, even though it does get quite deep rather quickly, and is overseen by lifeguard services. It usually has waves of medium height, especially out in the open water, which makes it ideal for surfing and other activities in the water. On the west side there are restaurants and kiosks, as well as umbrella and sunbed rental services.

The Pissouri gulf has many different sides which cover all kinds of preferences. Whether someone prefers a more organized beach, or is looking for something more serene and isolated, or is looking for action or just simply to relax, there is something to suit everyone. At the eastern and western end of the gulf there are high-rise cliffs which lead down to the beach and create  smaller coves, which one can reach by climbing over the rocks. These coves are a preferred area for nudist bathers.

On the western end of the bay, the luxurious, 5-star Columbia Beach Resort has created an exotic setting, with tall palm trees framing the coast. The hotel's beach bar is available to anyone who wants to enjoy refreshing drinks and the restaurants and cafés facing the beach are great option for moments with seaview.

Those who love sports have many options, as there are many service providers in the area, offering  opportunities from water skiing and surfing, to fly boarding and paragliding.
