Agios Athanasios Hills

* NOTE: All the tributes of All About Limassol (as the Official Guide of Limassol) aim to ONLY highlight the special advantages of this wonderful city, so that everyone can be aware of the unique Experiences it offers. Under no circumstances do they have any promotional or nominal value, nor do they serve the interests of Companies, Municipalities, Organizations or Individuals.

The view of Limassol from this unique spot is certainly a treat for the eyes. When the sun is high in the sky, it illuminates every shade of blue as far as the eye can see, while when it slowly starts to rise in the east, or set in the west, it blankets the entire setting in brilliant hues of pink, red, gold and orange. And once night falls, the city lights twinkle below, from one end to the other.

Every hour of the day, the view morphs into a different dazzling painting, as if drawn by a supernatural artist changing colors, shades and shapes before your very eyes. The one thing that is for certain is that the hills above Agios Athanasios allow for some of the most majestic views of the city, revealing its true magnitude to whoever ventures up there.

Many claim that Limassol has it all, and upon seeing this image, it is easy to see the truth in this statement. Standing atop these hills, where the air is cleaner and fresher, surrounded by the serenity of an area with almost no traffic or residential areas, one can take stock of what is happening below. From the buzzing harbor, with ships coming and going on a daily basis, and the magnificent hotels dotting the coastline, to the modern buildings slowly making their appearance, the city has still managed to keep its quiet corners deep in the heart of nature.

The hills of Agios Athanasios are located at an easy 5-minute drive from the Linopetra roundabout. An important detail to note is the fact that the visitors and patients at the German Oncology Center will be able to enjoy this view daily.
