The scent of lavender spreads all over Troodos mountains and in particular in the area of Platres village.
The annual lavender festival is a great opportunity for a walk around the beauties of the villages, to gaze at the amazing architecture of the houses, as well as the majestic pine forest, but also an opportunity to get acquainted with the lavender traditions.
On Saturday, July 6th, a guided tour attributed to the memory of Daphne de Mourier shows the visitors around the village, following the scents of lavender.
A large lavender market, featuring 25 exhibitors, will be providing anything you can imagine being made of lavender.
