Havouza of Limassol: The city's water reservoirs

* NOTE: All the tributes of All About Limassol (as the Official Guide of Limassol) aim to ONLY highlight the special advantages of this wonderful city, so that everyone can be aware of the unique Experiences it offers. Under no circumstances do they have any promotional or nominal value, nor do they serve the interests of Companies, Municipalities, Organizations or Individuals.

Havouza, the oldest of the monuments in the history of Limassol’s water supply, is located in the area south of Tsirio Stadium.

Following the declaration of the stone-built construction as an ancient monument, the area was restored and appropriately configured to allow for tours. Visitors can inspect the building of the reservoir itself, with its characteristic vaulted ceiling.

For easier access, a green space was created around the monument, with Cypriot trees and plants. Additionally, small seating areas were constructed for use by visitors, adapted to the amphitheatric height of the area. Thus, thanks to well-lit areas at night, the entire space is suitable for visits at all hours of the day.
