Naturally blue wine is an innovation that has been circulating in the international market for a few years now, and in 2020, a historic winery in the Limassol mountains brought it to our island as well.
Linos Winery in Omodos, with a family tradition dating back to the beginning of the 19th century, was able to produce this unique wine with the sea-blue color, following a 4-year effort.
Blue wine has white Xynisteri as its base, and does not include any artificial colors, as its emerald color comes from a substance called anthocyanin, found in the skin of red grapes.
In addition to enriching the wine with antioxidants, this mixture also creates an aroma and flavor of unique intensity, with a mild aftertaste.
