East of Limassol, on the coastline of the Archaeological Site of Amathus, the beach of Aphrodite is located, a quiet shore that is preferred for swimming by those who love its peace, but also by families with small children, who wish to play.
This sandy coast consists of 2 coves, next to and in front of the Amathus Beach Hotel, with tall palm trees in the background casting their shadow. The water is relativey shallow, especially ideal for children, while the bottom is mainly sandy, with some stones, mainly near the breakwaters that start from the shore and go all the way to the sea.
In the cove in front of the hotel there are comfortable wooden sunbeds and straw umbrellas on the sand. The creek next to the hotel has no other facilities, apart from the paved walkway, which allows access for people with mobility difficulties or people in wheelchairs, up to a certain spot.
This bay is ideal for those who prefer to enjoy the more natural side of the coast.
In the section in front of the Amathus Hotel, a water playground has also been installed, with an inflatable platform for playing in the water, which is under the management of the hotel and the entrance is allowed to its residents and guests. In the park, children and teenagers can test their skills, exercise and have fun.
