The seaside area of Agios Tychonas has gradually developed into a family beach destination, following the appearance of the first beachside venues during the 1960s, and the first hotels during the 1970s. The coastal pedestrian walkway that was developed a few years ago further helped strengthen this area as one of the public’s favorites.

One of the most popular and convenient spots for swimmers is located near the Poseidonia Beach Hotel, one of Limassol’s first hotels. The beach in this area offers a variety of options to visitors, a chilled out vibe and a family atmosphere. The portion of the beach that is in front of the hotel offers sunbeds on the sand, as well as facilities for people with limited mobility, such as special walkways that connect the beach to the seafront promenade.

The Wanax Beach Bar, a recent addition to the city’s beachside entertainment venues, is a bright and comfortable space which offers coffee, drinks, and food from early in the morning to late at night. On many summer evenings, it hosts bands playing live music, making the beach a destination for day to night entertainment.

Just a few steps further, the beach offers facilities and equipment for water sports and water leisure activities for all ages. This, along with the shower and toilet facilities, makes this beach one of the most organized in Limassol.

The water sports range between parasailing, jet ski, water ski, SUP, banana ride, sofa ride, pedal boats, kayak and more.

The wooden gazebo on the stone breakwater and the little bridge that leads to it create an idyllic setting for visitors to enjoy the sunrise and the sunset year round.
