Most of us have linked the visits in archaeological areas with the summertime. Indeed, these kind of trips do benefit from the sunny weather and longer days. But, those who decide to take a walk on the… winter side of Amathus, walking around the ancient monuments, do enjoy a special picture and feeling. Within a cloudy scenery, on a ground still damp from the recent rain and the sky almost dark, the glory of the ancient cities receives a new light.
These past few days were so cold that kept most of us inside the house, but some did dare to go out and visit Ancient Amathus. These were far from disappointed, as shown in the pictures, since they did catch a magnificent view and enjoyed the uninterrupted contact with the winter nature, with images from both the hills and the sea close by.
