Walls that stand half-ruined, abandoned houses and churches, bridges no longer used by anyone. These are the rural corners that, though abandoned, continue to carry history unknown to many.
If you too want to visit the abandoned villages of Cyprus, including Trozena - Gerovasa and Vikla in the Limassol, and learn their history, 1 group of young people invites you in a deserted countryside exploration and mapping adventure. The trip will begin in the district of Limassol from Agros village at 7 am on 18/3. Apart from the Limassol villages, the tour also includes the villages Fikardou and Old Apliki in Nicosia district and the villages Souskiou, Old Theletra, Saram and Evretou in Paphos district.
The aim of this 2-day trip on March 18th and 19th 2017, is to create 1 team with people from all over Cyprus, who will experience the beauty of the Cypriot nature and culture from a different point of view. Throughout the route there will be a nurse and first aid items, just in case. Transportation and food expenses will be cover by the ''See Why'' organization. The accommodation will be in tents, supplied by the organizers to all participants as well as sleeping bags.
