Around 250 local and International businessmen, business counselors and diplomats were gathered in Limassol on October 13th at Four Seasons Hotel to attend the annual Russia – Cyprus Business and Investment Forum, organized by Russian and Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Cyprus-Russian Business Association.
The sessions started early in the morning and were concluded late in the afternoon, after a series of interesting presentations on topics related to the present and future prospects of business in Cyprus. Among these topics were the Cyprus and Russia economic cooperation, the financial sectors, Education, information, communication, technology and investment projects. The Forum attracted a remarkable number of attendees, which indicates an increasing interest for the opportunities in the Cyprus economy.
The Forum was addressed by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Marios Demetriades, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation H. E. Stanislav V. Osadchiy, followed by the President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Phidias Pilides, the Adviser to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, Georgy Petrov, and the President of the Russian Business Council for Cooperation with Cyprus, Michael Kuzovlev.
