The operational opening of the new cruise passenger terminal in Limassol took place on May 3rd 2018, and it was attended by almost 300 guests. The impressive construction of 7 pods that consist the terminal, was in the center of attention, shining under the beautiful lights of Limassol’s sunset.
The impressive terminal, with its oval rooms, covers a total floor area of 8,205 m2. The construction of this modern building was finished in September of 2016, after an investment of €13.5 million. The uniqueness of this construction relies on its 7 pods which frame the view of the vessels and the harbour like huge scuttles.
DP World Limassol runs the terminal, which is designed to facilitate cruise ships, oil and gas logistics and domestic / transit trade area. It was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Vassiliki Anastassiadou, the Mayor of Limassol, Nicos Nicolaides, and DP World Group Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.
