“Agnandio tavern” came along with the spring time at the city. This Cypriot, family tavern at Pano Polemidia, just a few minutes from the Limassol city center, makes some delicious, traditional dishes with grandma’s recipes and offers a view of Limassol from above.
From Polemidia roundabout, taking the exit to Troodos, you will turn left after you pass the gas stations, following the signs to Pano Polemidia. When you get to the village, opposite to the little church of Ayia Anastasia, you will find this hospitable tavern. The city’s view from the porch will be fulfilling enough, but the appetite sure doubles when the traditional kefte comes along, or the stuffed wine leaves and zucchini flowers, or even the delicious stifado (onion stew).
“Agnandio” is open every day from noon till late at night, serving generous dishes, either stewed or grilled. Meze combination of 25 different plates is the best for a company, along with some wine and some fun Friday and Saturday evenings, with live Greek music.
