Along the route of the Limassol wine villages, there is a small village that is an ideal refuge for rest. There are two significant reasons for visiting Malia: its large square and the green park next to it.
The village has very few inhabitants today, though it remains welcoming and picturesque. Its hallmark is the large plane tree in the square, but the oasis of green created by the neighboring park is even more impressive. As the park is situated a level down from the road, one feels like crossing into a different dimension upon entering it.
Towering cypress trees, young plane trees and other shrubbery serve to beautify this park. A paved path leads to a gazebo with benches that await all who wish to take a moment and rest within this setting, while the surrounding area is suitable for children to play safely.
