In the village of Agios Ambrosios, a very old medieval church is preserved, with unique murals. This small church is dedicated to Saint Elizabeth and is considered an invaluable jewel of the village.

The church is located in an isolated yet peaceful setting, with a special structural architecture. In addition, the whole building is protected by the Department of Antiquities.

Inside the church, there are impressive, vibrantly-coloured murals of Saints, that date from the 16th century. Many of them are kept in very good condition, despite the passage of time.

The memory of Saint Elizabeth, is celebrated on Easter Tuesday.
