Cyprus emerges as an attractive destination for professionals and investors from third party countries. This was showcased during the half day conference on June 15th themed, “Funds in Cyprus: An attractive jurisdiction”, which was organized by the Cyprus – Russian Business Association, in collaboration with the K. Treppides & Co Limited company.
The participants in the conference were informed about the developments in the funds related sector in Cyprus, as well as on the role of the regulator in the funds industry. From the discussion, Cyprus appears to be a pioneer as a center for funds management services in the European Union and it is listed among the developing centers for establishing and managing Investment Funds.
The attendees had the opportunity to receive updates by specialists of the K. Treppides & Co Limited on structures and fund structures, as well as on the upcoming changes in the relative legislation. They also had the opportunity to listen to Russians and other third party countries’ nationals, sharing their experience from investing funds in Cyprus.
