VIDEO: This guy in the snow plays ‘Carols of the bells’ to the 'ghosts' of Verengaria!

A young, talented and adventurous musician decided to break the silence of the frozen landscape on the occasion of Christmas. Vassilis Vassiliou, without the classic triangle, but with a hand pan, went into the wilderness of the "haunted" Prodromos hotel to play the “Carol of the bells”. At very low temperatures, with the snow falling continuously, Vassilis tried to fill in with sounds and music those hollow walls of the once-ever luxury hotel.

Vassilis Vassiliou, member of a fusion-jazz musical project Tricoolore, with dozens of performances in music halls and major festivals, both in Cyprus and abroad, does not stop experimenting with sounds, techniques, places and sensations. The last such attempt took place in the icy backdrop of the snow-covered Troodos and, never the less particularly difficult and demanding, it also had excellent results.

After many hours under the snow, with only one tool – this "alien" disk, known as hand pan - Vassilis managed with the help of his team (Antonis Frangous, Franc DeCoup, Cyprus from Air) to "carol away" at the most frozen place in Cyprus. The haunting melody of «Carol of the bells» and the awe caused by the landscape create an elusive and unique effect.
