VIDEO: These are the crazy guys who built an igloo to stay in on Troodos!

On a slope on Troodos, near Prodromos village of the Limassol district, 3 men created an igloo made of ice. The famous domed house for Eskimos found its place in the Mediterranean landscape of Cyprus, thanks to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of Alex Roussounis and his friends.

For the construction, the 3 men worked for 6 hours by preparing more than 100 ice blocks, made from pressed snow, which weighed about 20 kg each. Although the temperature was very low and cold air was blowing in the area (Prodromos usually hits the lowest temperatures throughout the island), the 3 friends worked with great dedication and enthusiasm, completing a lovely accommodation made of ice, spacious enough to host all 3 of them and 1 dog.

"Inside the igloo the temperature was warm enough, so as not to need gloves," said Alex. "The feeling of waking up in an igloo is incredible», he added. The dog obviously shared his enthusiasm, walking around the igloo throughout the course of the construction. So, are igloos the new fashion for winter vacations, after all?
