VIDEO: The tree tunnel in Limassol is just as useful, as it is majestic!

Looking from above, the area looks like a huge triangle of land surrounded by a green outline. At Fasouri area, the road unfolds magically. But the tall cypress trees across both sides of the street, have a very practical reason for being there, apart from creating a beautiful sight.

As shown in the aerial video, the land with citrus trees and other fruit trees around, create a charming scenery. However, the reason these cypress trees are planted around this area, is related to the need to protect the plantation, being some kind of a natural fence.

With strong winds and other phenomena always lurking around and striking without warning, the need for protection was clear since the very first moment. But, after all, the enormous area of land, combined with the endless and relatively narrow street by the green of the cypress trees, manages to impress anyone crossing through, while providing valuable shades for summer travelers.
