The pictures are majestic. With snow falling a traveler crosses the mountain villages of Limassol. The scenery all the way from Agros to Handria and from there to Kyperounta are all in tone scales of white. This special touring video shows a particular perspective of the daily life of residents on the mountains.
The snow has covered these communities for several days and it has not stopped falling. As shown in the video, the times when people need to move to go to their jobs or to schools across this white curtain of snowflakes are more than few. Cars move slowly and people are walking with difficulty, but life goes on normally.
A trip to the snowy areas always needs special attention, but the view from the window definitely has a unique value. The paved squares, the stone walls, the steeples and churches lost in the white and the narrow streets paved with snow, are images that compensate anyone attempt such a walk in Limassol villages. A teacher, Alvinos Vasileiades, made this trip and filmed the view for all of us to watch.
