In Limassol Santa Claus came from the sea!

We may not spend Christmas and New Year’s in the summer, like the Australians do, but our beaches are never left without people. When the waves and the sun permit it, the beach has its regular visitors who love it throughout the year. Winter swimmers are among the most active groups of the local society and they are genuine lovers of the sea and its benefits.

Having chosen swimming as a lifestyle, a sport, a way to relax and entertain themselves, winter swimmers do not miss the beach, but for a few days in the entire year. Through this activity of theirs, they have been formed into a tight community, cordial and dynamic. Everyone with each other, but also all of them together with the sea and the beach in Limassol have developed a family relationship.

To celebrate the arrival of the new year on the beach, it is for the winter swimmers something absolutely natural - like it is for all of us to celebrate these days with our loved ones. The appointment by the sea on the first day of this year took place in extremely good conditions, since the sun made a lustrous appearance early in the morning, with the sea sparkling, while reflecting the rays of light. Winter swimmers dove along with Santa Claus and celebrated together around their Christmas tree on the beach.
