An ambitious proposal for the unfinished since 1977 ‘Pieris’ or Maritime Building, located in Omonia Avenue, at a short distance from the Limassol port, is presented by the company ECA Architects & Associates. On instructions from the liquidator of the building, the architects firm undertook a study to promote the development to foreign investors.
It appears that the abandoned for decades building is now available for sale, with many investors from abroad expressing their interest in it. Within the near future, presentations in a number of interested investors that may end up to an agreement, are being planned.
According to expert studies, the building can be used if received proper treatment, even if it has been left exposed to external conditions for so long. The plan presented by the architectural firm, as shown in photos and video, provides for the creation of a Business Center with offices and restaurant for the staff on the ground floor. The proposed project does not exclude the possibility to be modified for other uses also, after the investors' wish, when eventually sold.
