VIDEO at ‘Constandis’ shipwreck: Huge groupers await for divers to play with them

The ship "Constandis" was sank in February 2014. The sinking was part of the CTO program for creation of artificial reefs that will enhance marine life.

Since then, the Soviet trawler constructed in 1989, transferred to Cyprus in 1997, is located under the Limassol sea. Among the diverse marine life that can be seen, there are large numbers of damselfish and hulls. There are also seasonal local breams, barracudas, groupers.

The video shows that the wreck has managed to become a refuge for many species of marine flora and fauna. Impressive is, indeed, the huge grouper approaching without fear the divers. The creatures living in the wreck seem to have been accustomed to the human presence, as to behave like their…pets.
