Perhaps the sun rising in the sea is a particularly impressive spectacle, with the first light reflecting on the glossy surface of the water. But one cannot deny that the residents of the mountain villages do wake up to a highly seductive spectacle, too.

The winter sun rising from within the Troodos mountains, surrounded by red and violet colors, has a special charm. This is the view the people of Kyperounta and of the surrounding area are facing, when opening their windows early in the morning, well even before the sky lights up. Such a view, without a doubt, compensates those waking up early, but also in such low temperature in the air.
