At the end of 2017 the University Clinic of Rehabilitation, which was designed to be built on the site of Old Limassol Hospital, is expected to be finished. The clinic will house diagnostic and rehabilitation laboratories of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of the CUT.
This is an important project because, first, it is the first project of the Second Development Pole of the University and, second, it will be the first Rehabilitation Clinic in Cyprus and Greece, which will offer the first undergraduate program in the Department of Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology in a public university.
The clinic has a fully equipped workshop for various types of diagnosis and therapy, cutting-edge technology that is designed to serve people with communication difficulties and extensive programs for early intervention. The University considers the Rehabilitation Clinic to be a center of social provision and a unique public institution for comprehensive training in communication restoration with a recognized Diploma in the field of Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology.
Other than the academic and social impact of the development, this construction is the first step towards a new image of the Limassol city center, after the University’s expansion. An Innovation Center and a multi-floor parking lot will follow in 2018.
