On March 26th Charlie Airlines will begin with their first flight. The Russian interests company, which acquired the former Cyprus Airways, is expecting the needed final license to proceed. The procedures for the acquisition of Air Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Department are in the final stage, according to statements of the company’s representative to inbusiness.com.
The flight schedule is not yet finalized, but it is expected that in the first phase routes to Europe, Russia and Middle East countries will be carried out. The company's fleet will initially consist of 2 Airbus A319 type aircrafts, which will be used fro flights to and from Larnaca Airport.
The company is now ready to fully operate, having both personnel and equipment needed to proceed with flights. The company's goal is to be able to enrich the fleet every year with 2 new airplanes over the time of next 3 years. After 3 years, the plan for the fleet of the company will be reassessed.
