Those who booked a table last Saturday at Karatello, the restaurant which is located at the square of the Medieval Castle, they became witnesses of an unprecedented view, as 4 known men of Limassol performed waiter duties. The lunch at the restaurant had carnival and at the same time charity character.
The Mayor, Nikos Nicolaidis, the Director of the Limassol Cooperative Savings Bank, Nearchos Ioannou, the Director of the Oncology Centre of the Bank of Cyprus, Dr. Dimitris Andreopoulos, and the Director of Radio station "Kanali 6", Michalis Papaevagorou, after joint communication they dressed as strawberries, wearing their aprons and serving the attendants of the event.
Forgetting their formal identities for a few hours, they grabbed 1 tray in hand and contributed in a spectacular carnival feast, which had as an ultimate purpose the support of the charity foundation "Child Day Fund". The attendants of the event had the chance to enjoy the delicious food from the menu of the restaurant and have fun with the uplifting melodies of the rebetiko band of Limassol Cooperative “Yia Xaradan”. A notable moment of the event was when the Mayor himself grabbed the microphone in hands and entertained the people, letting them into crazy dancing.
