First snow flakes began to cover Troodos mountain peaks in the morning of December 1st. As reported by Eric Kitas, weather man from Limassol, it is expected that by this afternoon snow will fall in other areas on the mountains with height over 1500 meters.

Bad weather is still present in the rest areas in Limassol as well, with heavy rain and sporadic storms. In the evening the weather is expected to improve, but local rainfall, snowing on the mountains and sporadic storms will continue. Frost is expected on the mountains.

Extreme weather phenomena and the clearly winter scenery will result to a temperature drop. From December 2^nd predictions mention a retreat of extreme weather , while cloudy weather will persist. A temperature rise is expected on Saturday, but it will drop again on Sunday.

In any case the scenery has moved to winter for good and it fits perfectly with the holidays coming on.
