The beginning of the school year of 2017 found Popi Nicolaou in 1 historic school of Cyprus, the Mitsis Commercial School, in the mountainous Lemythou. So, it was a matter of time to see another one of Limassol’s rural school creating great things.

Popi Nicolaou, the artist and teacher who created with the group of high school students in Kolossi the "Immigrants" artwork and brought international attention to Cyprus and Limassol, is currently working with her new students on "Peace". It is a striking composition with 17 human figures in natural size that takes your breath away. Joined together they will be shaping a dove, the symbol of peace.

The Mitsis Commercial School, which already participates in many European programs representing Cyprus, will participate in the contest "2017 Saatchi Gallery / Deutsche Bank Art Prize", just as "immigrants" did. At the same time, "Peace" will participate in the Cyprus Competition of Visual Arts for General Secondary Education Schools, serving the issue of "Building bridges between continents and cultures," while it will also be presented in the context of the "European Capital of Culture events - Paphos 2017".
