As announced, general stores can remain open on the Green Monday holiday, if they wish to serve those who are used to the last minute shopping for the day’s meal or other supplies.

As announced by the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance reports, according to the provisions of the law, shops can operate on the day, in compliance with the provisions relating to the payment of wages to employees. As noted, those who work on this day, will be compensated at a ratio of 1:2 for each working hour.
