If the city is captivating once, the countryside of Limassol is 10 times more beautiful and enchanting, especially this season. Vitality, blooming flowers and rich green with the blue of the sea on the background were the scenery for Green Monday in the district.
Favorite destination for excursionists was the Curium beach, as well as the green area near the archaeological site. Field of glory for children and parents who raised aloft their kites, keeping the custom of the day, was the open space that hosted all the traditions of Green Monday.
Despite the crazy spree on Sunday, everybody was from early in the morning at the fields, carrying their lent dishes and setting up a feast in the heart of nature, where music and dance were once again the main ingredients. In the picnic area at Lofou village, the tradition came to life for good. Clarinet and traditional Greek customs led the way to a genuine Greek feast.
