At 1400 meters above sea level, where snowflakes are a common phenomenon in the winter, Kyperounda village has the opportunity to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve in a way most suitable for the season. Its square has turned into a an amazing Christmas Village, while most of the houses participate in this atmosphere, with decorations on their roofs and gardens.
The Christmas Village, richer and more ready than ever for the festive days that are getting closer and closer, was lit-up on Saturday, 8/12, in a rather warm atmosphere, in spite of the single numbers of the temperature. Plenty of people, residents and visitors, gathered in the square, where the children sang the carols, while tasty bites were roasting on the fire, to accompany the fragrant wine of the community.
Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations will mark the peak of the events planned in Kyperounda, which encourage the entire village to participate. From 4 pm on 23/12, every road will be filled with the sounds of carols, while there is a Christmas play scheduled on 29/12, at 6:30 pm. On 30/12 the festive activities for children and adults will kick off early in the morning, while on 31/12, just before the year changes, a carriage with horses, carrying Santa and his elves, will go around the village with gifts for every child.
