Askanis Group of Companies has announced their new emblematic project, The Gallery, officially opening the way to a development that aims to become the aerial connection between the old city of Limassol and the seafront area. This new arrangement is set to bring a multitude of advantages for both the city and its residents, as well as for domestic and foreign tourism.

Located on Limassol’s famed seafront road and right next to the Old Port, The Gallery will be an iconic building with a uniquely permeable design linking the seafront with the town center via an illuminated overpass that artfully connects the promenade with scenic St. Andrews Street. A large inner square will offer a public realm experience, with a variety of restaurants, cafés, and other venues that will be open to the community. Renowned British architect Tom Wright, the mind behind the Burj Al Arab, one of Dubai’s most distinguishable structures, undertook the design of The Gallery with 3 main goals in mind: quality, functionality, and neighborhood enhancement. Thus, the project aims to bring growth and development to the neighboring areas on all levels.

Its 3 pillars of functionality include homes, businesses, and dining areas, all cleverly infused with cultural elements, thanks in part to the expansion of the square to incorporate the Cultural Center of St. Andrews Street. The large square will also feature a gallery space available for exhibitions, thus contributing even further to the thriving local art scene. Taking advantage of its enviable location, The Gallery will boast a rooftop bar and restaurant, offering patrons haute cuisine served with breathtaking views of the Limassol coastline and sprawling cityscape. Beyond the abundance of gastronomical options, the development will also feature a multifunctional events venue, available for hire. Ample parking space will be made available to both residents and the public.
