For 3 days, the Limassol seafront had a different vibe. The thousands that came together to plat or watch the basket tournament, made the energetic nature of Limassol stand out, underlining once again how ideal this area is at the seafront park for sports and exercise.

The 101 teams that participated – 5 of which came from abroad especially to be part of this event – played against each other in 7 different categories. The categories would include every single athlete: from children to adults and from able bodied to disabled. The team players enjoyed some exciting matches in a unique area, especially set up for playing above the sea, while viewers enjoyed the show and the thrill.

The international appreciation that the tournament enjoys, since it is part of the official FIBA events, pushes it to become better and larger every year. A sign of its success is undoubtedly the massive attraction of visitors, who reached 15 thousands. In fact, there is the prospect of turning Limassol the next host of an international meeting of the winners of such tournaments from all over the world. The Limassol 3 on 3 has been one of the year-long events of Lemesia 2017.
