Awarded photographs that were taken during the Limassol Carnival 2016, will be exhibited in Strasbourg at the 32nd plenary of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, from March 28th until 30th, 2017.
The Cyprus Photographic Society, Department of Limassol, organizes the 9th Cyprus Photography Competition themed "Limassol Carnival 2016", with material exclusively from this past year’s event. Each contestant may submit up to 10 color photographs in digital jpg file on CDs, of which only 2 may present a Carnival Portrait.
Photos can be from any event of the period during which the Limassol Carnival takes place, like the children’s parade and the big carnival parade, the events of Tsiknopempti, the Serenaders, the chariots, the open air balls, the city’s decoration, the customs and generally anything happening in the city during this time.
For members of the Society, with settled subscription, for students and soldiers participation, the fee is €5, while for non-members it is €10. Entries are to be delivered at CPS in Limassol. Information and conditions for participation can be found at the website www.cps.com.cy and at the house of CPS in Limassol. Deadline for submissions is January 14th, 2017.
