On February 2nd we go for a full day exploration at Akrotiri habitat!

Akrotiri celebrates with all the wetlands in the world with workshops and activities for everyone. This habitat of inestimable value, located at a stone's throw from the city of Limassol, still remains an unexplored field for the majority of us.

On the occasion of World Wetlands Day, the Akrotiri Environmental Education Center , BirdLife Cyprus and the RSPB and birdwatching group of C3A are organizing a series of events for little ones and adults as well. Through these activities, attendees will discover the wonderful secrets of the habitat, the endemic and migratory species hosted there and its crucial role in maintaining balance in the area.

Through observing and identifying birds, we get to know the hundreds of species hosted in the area, while watching the cows and donkeys thriving in the meadow and helping maintain the habitat.
