The work of art “Peace”, made by the students of the Commercial School of Lemythou, sends the students of Limassol to London and to the internationally renowned Saatchi gallery for the second consecutive year.

This piece has been chosen among 24.000 submissions to the international competition of the gallery. The synthesis is constructed with 17 life size figures, joined into the form of a pigeon with open wings, the symbol of peace.

The inspiration belongs to the artist Popi Nicolaou, while several students were involve, mainly aged 14 – 17 years old. The same piece of art was also awarded first prize at the 6^th Cyprus Secondary Schools Art Competition. The work “Immigrants” followed the same successful course last year, also inspired by the same artist and constructed in collaboration with students by Kolossi high school.
