The British Post Office has published the results of its annual survey about the overall cost imposed on tourists at several destinations, considering 10 criteria. Measuring the cost of 1 coffee, 1 beer, 1 bottle of water, 1 glass of wine, 1 insect repellent, 1 newspaper, 1 sun cream and 1 3-course meal for 2 people, it came up with a list where Limassol is mentioned eighth among the budget destinations in Europe.
The survey concerns popular destinations in Europe and it suggests to British some of the most attractive ones, according to the cost. The result of the British survey mentions an amount of €94 for covering the 10 criteria mentioned above. Paphos is also mentioned in the list, with the respective amount reaching up to €87.
Greece participates in the list with 4 entries, Crete, Zante, Kefallonia and Corfu, all 4 being pricier than Limassol. The 3 most expensive destinations in the list are Sorento in Italy, Nice in France and Ibiza in Spain, while the cheapest one is Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.
