With steady growth, the property sector in Limassol keeps moving forward, holding on high levels the numbers throughout Cyprus. Although average sales in February decreased by 9% compared to February 2016, Limassol continues to lead vigorously in this area.
Most sales in February were recorded in Limassol district, reaching 177, compared to 179 in last year's February. Sales during the period of January - February 2017 increased by 14%, with all deeds reaching up to 309, from 271 during the same period in 2016.
Nationwide, during the first 2 months of 2017 the total deeds amounted to 879, in contrast to 828 in the first 2 months of 2016, going up by 6%. Sales in Limassol represent 35% of sales across Cyprus, during the January - February 2017 period.
In Larnaca, sale deeds decreased by 7% in February. In Paphos the sales decreased by 13%, while real estate sales in the capital decreased by 8%. Greater was the decline in Famagusta, with the deeds number dropping by 46%.
