In Limassol, mushroom, taro and garlic become traditional sweets!

Among 32 types of sweets, 24 types of jams, 7 “submarine” candy flavors and a variety of traditional liqueur, one can also find ingredients they would only expect to taste as… stew with tomato sauce. Katerina’s cauldrons, however, do not discriminate.

Only by the thought of them, someone would react strange, but the artisan herself guarantees that these sweets have their own distinct flavor and can be used in various ways. Either as a dessert or as an ingredient for preparing special meals, mushroom, garlic and taro traditional Cypriot sweets, manage to stand out.

Spending many hours of the day in the kitchen, picking up ideas from the internet and performing special orders for customers, Katerina has come to the point to prepare traditional sweets in the village Doros, with recipes that she could not even imagine a few years ago. Her creations are found in many super - markets, but the most recent and bizarre recipes, such as mushroom, taro and garlic are usually just at the store operating in the Limassol - Troodos road, near the village of Lania, which stays open Monday - Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm.
