The property market for the past few months  follows an upward trend across Cyprus, with Limassol leading the way ahead. According to the Association of Large Development Projects, lately there is a large investment and buying interest for 9 major projects under construction, 6 of which are based in Limassol.

Monthly data about the number of sales documents submitted during the past few months, keep Limassol steady in the first place. The same data indicate that a respectable percentage of the buyers belongs to the category of foreigners who make use of the plan for acquiring the Cypriot citizenship through property investments over €500 thousands.

The following developments are some of the best examples of the boost in the property market in Cyprus. In the same time they create a completely altered urban landscape on the island.

Limassol Del Mar (D. Zavos Group / Leptos Group)

In October 2016 the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism has approved the offer of Melco International Development Ltd (Melco), Hard Rock International and Cyprus Phasouri Ltd to build a casino-resort in Limassol. According to the tender specifications, a luxury hotel of 500 rooms is to be constructed. The construction of the resort is expected to begin in the end of 2017.

ONE (Pafilia Property Developers)
The 37-storey building, the highest, residential seafront tower in Europe, will change the image of Limassol. The development puts the island in the international map of luxurious property, targeting prosperous buyers.
