Lofou will kick off the lent at the picnic area of "Prophetis Elias". The Community Council of Lofou and the Association of Lofou Expats organize a celebration fit for the day and they are preparing an amazing feast.

On Monday, 27/2, from 11:00 a.m. at the beautiful picnic site of "Prophetis Elias" (on the road Alassa - Lofou) a traditional feast will be set up with the group of Achilleas Ioannou, with traditional Greek dancing and customs, tsamiko and clarinet melodies. The community has organized traditional games for that day and a contest for kite flying will be held.

Free wine will be offered to all, while a rich buffet there with all the established fasting delicacies of the day (boiled beans, beets, potato salad, olives, laganas, fish roe, etc.) will be available at a price of €8. Tickets are sold until Saturday February 25th at Pantelis Soteriou store in Ypsonas. In case of cancellation of the event due to weather conditions, the money will be returned from the same store. No tickets will be sold at the venue.
