Google returns at CUT in February 2017 bringing to Cyprus the international competition Hash Code, which can bring together teams that will be tested on their skills in programming. For the first phase of the competition their will be established 2 hubs in Cyprus, 1 in Nicosia and 1 in the CUT laboratories in Limassol.
Hash Code is a programming competition, organized by Google for students and professionals in programming. Contestants from Europe, Middle East and Africa are participating in it. For the formation of the teams the involvement of 2 — 4 people, 18 years or older, is required. After you choose your team and the programming language, Google chooses a real life engineering problem to be resolved.
The competition is held in 2 phases. The first phase, on February 23rd 2017, aims in solving engineering problems in the laboratory of the hubs that will be set up in Cyprus. In the second phase, in which those whose work is assessed as adequate by Google's team of jury will be qualified, contestants will be hosted at Google's headquarters in Paris on April 1st 2017. In this final phase of the competition the best 3 groups will be awarded. All contestants will receive a certificate of participation, and a bag with gifts by Google.
