Cyprus Airways has launched the first phase of operations on June 1st with flight CY1011 to Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg. The airline’s Airbus A319 aircraft was welcomed back to Larnaka International Airport, on June 2nd, with the traditional water salutation.
This first flight took place in less than 1 year since Charlie Airlines LTD, a Cyprus registered company, won the right to use the trademark Cyprus Airways for a decade. For the second phase of its launch, Cyprus Airways, will announce in the next few months, a revised and extended flight schedule to be implemented in March 2018. Until then, the airline will perform flight to 5 destinations.
