Daniella Vanessa Ipsaridou is the rising star of Cyprus in the field of figure skating. Starting from the small - for competitive purposes – ice rink at My Mall Limassol, the 15-year old Daniella Vanessa has managed to become the athlete representing the country in international figure skating events.
Daniella Vanessa Ipsaridou and the skier Andreas Epifaniou were the 2 athletes who represented Cyprus at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2017. The event was held in Erzurum in Turkey last February, were the skater, coached by Pavel Chernysov, managed to finish at the 21st place. Despite the non-existent infrastructure for the proper preparation of the athlete, the 15-year old skater continues her efforts without stopping.
The ice rink at My Mall in Limassol is the place where many children first contact this sport. Indeed, on the weekend of March 18th – 19th, the Cyprus National Skating Championship 2017 takes place at this rink, where Daniella Vanessa won the first place last year. In this year's event, dozens of girls of various ages will compete for a distinction, as well as 3 boys.
