The Cypriot University of Technology is doing exceptionally well based on the prominent guide, Times Higher Education World University. Tepak has achieved first place in the category of EU Universities, with the main criterion being performance based on age (experience) and running time.
This year the Times’ world-known list includes 79 countries and the total of 980 academic institutions. It is one of the most recognizable and reliable guides of its kind, and it is being published for the 13th year. Important indicating criteria have been the following: contribution for research and innovation, international image and progression, influence in research, and of course teaching. Based on this Criteria, Tepak is in the 202nd place out of the 354 top institutions.
The strength and severity of Tepak’s devotion to science has been rewarded in the category “citations” as it has managed to score a place amongst the top 300 universities, proving how recognizable its contribution has been in this field.
It is also noteworthy that most of the other institutions in the list have been operating for a much longer time period than Tepak, and some even have the capacity of offering a much bigger and broader university community and campus with more facilities.
Nevertheless, the younger and much smaller, compared to other institutions, Tepak, which was founded in 2004 and first opened its doors to students in 2007, has proven its potential and also sincere devotion to high-quality work. It is a fresh, new institution, which will continue pacing with the same determination, towards an even greater progression and development in the near future.
