At TRAKASOL we get a close up at the great inventions of the Ancient Greeks

The hydraulic telegraph of Aeneas, the "cinema" of Heron, the automatic clock of Ctesibius, the astrolabe of Ptolemy, complicated inventions such as the analog computer of Antikythera, the world’s first tablet. These and many more impressive exhibits will be hosted in TRAKASOL Cultural Center at the Marina Limassol during the time of 6/1 — 12 / 2/17.

The exhibition "The Ancient Greek Civilization and the Major Inventions of Ancient Greeks” also hosts very simple inventions like Pythagoras’ cup, through which the philosopher and mathematician wanted to teach his students about the limits and the value of the measure. Kostas Kotsanas, curator and creator of the exhibition, already maintains 3 museums in Greece and has set as a life goal to make known this relatively unknown aspect of ancient Greek culture.

Nonprofit Organization Trak-Art Culture Development Foundation, founded by friends of art and culture with the ultimate purpose of research, study, protection, preservation and support of culture in every way and by all means, brings this exhibition to Cyprus and particularly in Limassol. The exhibition is held under the auspices of Mrs. Andri Anastasiades, wife of the President of the Republic. The net proceeds will go to the Association "Mora Thavmata".
