It sure is nice to spend Christmas in the snowy forest. Although, when we think of something like that, the mind creates images in comfortable chalets or small wooden houses with warm carpets and a lit fireplace continuously burning and steamy foods and drinks to keep the cold out of the door. Would it really be as nice to spend the Christmas night with a single sleeping bag and the cloth of a tent separating your body from the snow?
For some it is not only pleasant, but also a challenge and a unique adventure that you would not want to lose for anything. So, a group from Limassol, after Nikas Goderdzishvili's initiative, has decided to spend the weekend on December 24th and 25th in the icy Troodos forest on a free camping trip. The group will spend the night there on the evening of December 24th and will depart on December 25th afternoon.
Nikas is self-described as "adrenalinejunkie" and loves dangerous sports. Camping in the snow, of course, is only dangerous for those who are not well prepared to face the cold. But otherwise, if someone spent the night in the snowy forest’s “cradle”, they couldn’t but enjoy the fresh, cold air, the starry sky, the stillness of the frozen night and unrepeatable loneliness of the winter landscape.
