It was said and done! After Nikas Goderdzishvili’s initiative, 1 group of 7 people took off on Christmas Eve from Limassol to the snowy Troodos. All of them were determined to spend the Christmas weekend of December 24th and 25th camping in the frozen forest. In the heart of one of the harshest winters Cyprus has seen in the past few years, Nikas and his company managed what seems impossible and had an amazing time.
He describes himself as an "adrenaline junkie" and he loves extreme sports. Being prepared for the conditions we had to face in the snowy mountains, he made sure to have the necessary equipment to survive in the cold. "The main difficulty we encountered was the fact that more people than originally expected, responded to the call and we had to better distribute the equipment", he said.
The group comprised of people who responded to Nikas’ invitation through Facebook. "I knew all of them, but not all of them knew each other", he told us. Thus, enthusiasm, courage and determination to experience the most out of this adventure, joined 7 strangers who had to cooperate perfectly in order to celebrate Christmas in the most alternative way throughout the island.
